Perfect In Body (A Poem)

Prompt 25 – Sculpture

Perfect In Body
He sits in
utter beauty.
Every curve
and muscle right.
A finely
chiseled pale face.
Looking so
far off but warm.
My favorite
sculpture to see.

A note to you all. So…I know I’ve been behind with posting. By like a week. Ugh. Monday I should be able to catch up. I should have time to type out one or two more. One them I wrote three things, which I plan to share with you instead of just one. Anyway, I came across this old dusty blog where the writer wrote about how sorry they were for not posting in awhile, and I felt like I was looking in a mirror. Then I saw their last post was back in November of 2012, so I very loudly screamed, “That won’t be me!” Cause I’m afraid that’ll be me. Something will happen and I won’t post for over a year. And then, when you’re gone that long it’s like, “Why bother to post? No one remembers you anyway.” But that won’t be me! It just won’t…cause I believe in me! (Oh…how self absorbed does that statement sound???)
