My friend said this to me yesterday while we were shopping instead of me being at home and posting a new chapter of Nightmare Chasers like I should have been. But we’ll come back to this in a minute (or a few words later).
I was going to post this week, but as we all know everything’s been happening, and as the person I am, I’ve been watching the news and forming a poem for this Boston Bombing, cause that is unacceptable! Not to make excuses for myself for not posting, cause I love to write my stories, but I was distracted. Sadly.
Then I became even more distracted as my friend introduced me to this show, which surprisingly is aired on the Disney Channel, called Gravity Falls. It’s quite an interesting cartoon, with secrets hidden throughout the show. And I mean that. There’s a weird whisper going on at the end of the opening credits, and there’s codes to decipher at the end of the ending credits, and there’s all kinds of clues in every episode, and there’s a bunch of secrets inside the show that the main characters need to find out.
The only reason why I say it’s surprising that this show is on Disney, is because it’s very dark for a Disney TV show, it’s something I’d expect to see airing on Cartoon Network with Adventure Time. I also don’t watch the Disney Channel at all, unless I see they’re playing a Disney movie I haven’t bought on disc, and my friend only watches Disney cause her younger sisters love Phineas and Ferb. But I have to say, after watching the first three episodes, I’ve become quite attached to the characters, and have gotten into finding out the mystery of the town of Gravity Falls. A lot of my thoughts go into this show. A lot of FanFiction thoughts to write out.
So yesterday, my friend called me in the morning and asked if I wanted to go shopping at this strip mall place near her house, because she had off of work, and wanted to do something. And being myself I said “Sure. I’ll be there at ten.” Sure enough around 10AM I was at her house and we went off shopping. We went into this store (that no, I will not name) and there were bra there, and my friend was like, “I need a new bra.” So we went in, and at first, I wasn’t going to look around myself, but I found one that was my size, but then realized it was like 60 bucks. That’s a lot of the jobless Ivie.
So my friend tells me, “If the bra fits,” and then lowers her voice here, “and you have a hard to shop for bra size,” and then bringing her voice back to a normal level finishes with, “you might as well wear it.” And that’s how my yesterday went. With me spending the whole day shopping, and putting near 60 dollars towards a new bra, truly, I hope to be getting a job interview soon.
