Wanderlust (A Poem)

Prompt 17 – Traveling Alone

These busy streets
filled with empty souls
scare me deeply
but I still must go.

I can’t stay still
just like a nomad
the will to leave
burns inside of me.

Not to run off
but to go explore
and see it all
before my time’s up.

But no one comes
they’re more scared then me
or are they sane
while I fulfill dreams?

I originally was going to go for something more tragic…cause that’s the kind of person I am, but this one’s okay too.

Was there ever a time, I wonder, when it was insane NOT to chase your dreams?

Talk to me baby!
